MINUTES OF MEETING HELD
FRIDAY, MARCH 9, 2012
TOWN HALL – MEETING ROOM 1

Peter Cohen, Chairman, called the meeting of the MCAT Board to order at 2:04 p.m.
Roll Call was taken.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of minutes postponed until meeting of Tuesday, March 13th

New Business
Tom Mayo briefed the members that 3 residents have volunteered to act as the Board of Incorporators:
Jim Vaccaro
Chris Ball
Brad Sweet
Andy Eliason motioned to recommend and endorse Jim Vaccaro, Chris Ball and Brad Sweet as Board of Incorporators of the Mashpee Public Access Corporation. Motion seconded by Peter Cohen and passed unanimously.
After review of the proposed budget for the Public Access Studio, including discussion by Peter of the staffing expectations identified in the proposed budget as Executive Director, Production Coordinator and Secretary, Andy Eliason motioned to recommend that the Mashpee Board of Selectmen approve allocation of 3.5% of future annual revenue received from Comcast to be transferred to the Mashpee Public Access Corporation for use in it’s operation of the Mashpee Public Access facility. Motion seconded by Peter Cohen and passed unanimously.
Discussion followed concerning the future role of the MCAT board. It was discussed that this board as it is currently constituted would still be needed to advise on the use of the remaining 1% funds from Comcast.

The next MCAT meeting is to be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012, Town Hall Meeting Room 1.

Andrew Eliason motioned to adjourn the meeting; Peter Cohen seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
